Fisherman
This statue of a fisherman is placed along the city river a little downstream from the city centre bridge. As you can see of his fishing rod he is about to pull up a nice catch. It is possible to do some real fishing in the river, so if you ever visit, bring your fishing gear. Photo courtesy of my dad.

If you didn't tell us that was a statue, I would never have guessed! Looks like a very beautiful area.
I really enjoy seeing statues like this - instead of detracting from the landscape they add something nice to the view. Thank you for posting this photo.
sarah: Yes, it is a nice place. And the good thing is that it's actually in the city centre :o)
tanty: Yes, you expect him to start moving and pull the fish up :o)
annie: That's true. It becomes a part of the landscape :o)
Very cool! What kind of fish do you catch there?
john: It's mostly trout in this part of the river.
I LOVE that statue.
